Charge with a Quick Scan

Initiate your charging session in seconds by simply scanning the AmpUp QR code on the charger using the app's QR reader. Alternatively, if you have reserved a charger at a specific location, you can check into it beforehand. Some locations may require special access, which can be requested from the charger's host.

Pay in App or Scan RFID

You have the convenience of paying for your charging sessions using either a credit card or a card saved in your phone's wallet. Store your payment method for quick and easy charging across AmpUp's extensive network of thousands of chargers. Additionally, you can link your existing RFID card or badge, or request a new AmpUp RFID card, enabling you to swipe and charge without relying on your phone.

Community Powered

Pricing and policies for each charger are determined by the hosts. AmpUp ensures transparency by allowing drivers to view charging speeds and costs per minute or kilowatt-hour (kWh) of charging.

Remotely Monitor and Get Notifications

Stay updated on the progress of your charging session directly on your phone. Receive notifications when your session is complete. Track the exact amount you've paid and the number of kWh added to your vehicle. Access your charging session history and receipts.

Prices and Fees

Hosts have full control over setting prices and policies, while AmpUp handles the payment process on their behalf. Some hosts may implement idle fees to encourage charger availability by prompting drivers to vacate the parking space after charging. Before idle fees are applied, you will receive push alerts reminding you to move your car.
